My work is a heartfelt exploration of the universal spirit, a quest to connect with something greater than myself. Inspired by the intricate relationship between humanity and nature, I seek to uncover the points where these worlds intersect. I embrace the creative flow as an open channel, welcoming moments of magic that arise when ego steps aside. Guided by intuition, I tune into the subtle rhythms within society, shaping ideas and feelings that often resist clear expression. My process is open and evolving, unfolding across various mediums. I am committed to confronting fears and embracing change, leaving behind comfort and routine as I push creative boundaries in search of new discoveries. A lifelong curiosity about the world fuels my passion for finding beauty and meaning in distant places. With a background in fashion, I have developed a refined sensitivity to imagery, form, color, texture, and movement. This experience drives me to explore unexpected and thought-provoking combinations that reveal themes of connection. “Through my art my intention is to represent the profound strength of universal spirit, human consciousness, and transformation, marrying the form with the formless and striving to create a new language out of abstraction.”

Tracy King is an artist whose work embodies a rich fusion of cultural influences and a deep passion for creative exploration. Born in Ohio and raised in the Chicago area, she earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising at ASU. Her artistic education has developed through a combination of classes at various institutions, workshops, private instruction, and extensive personal experimentation. She gained valuable experience in the fashion industry while working in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City, including a significant role at Levi Strauss & Co., where she contributed to expanding women’s brands and worked in women’s luxury fashion and activewear. Between 2010 and 2018, Tracy was a vibrant member of the artist community in San Miguel de Allende, MX, maintaining her studio and gallery, Chrysalis, in Fabrica la Aurora. She now creates in her Tesuque studio near Santa Fe, where she welcomes visitors. Tracy’s art is represented by ViVO Contemporary in Santa Fe and is included in private collections across North America, Central America, and Europe, with exhibitions throughout Mexico. Her commitment to women’s empowerment is reflected in her nine years of service with Mercado Global, a nonprofit supporting weaving cooperatives in Guatemala, where she served as Chair of the Board. Currently, she is Co-Chair of the board of New Mexico Women in the Arts. Tracy lives in Santa Fe with her husband, Gary, and their dog, Ari.
