Statement

I breathe in the sky and feel eternity. I am just a speck, yet, immense with purpose. I create to convey my wonder as together we spin on a living orb, revolving around a star. I feel the dreams of my foremothers alive in my bones. My venture into art began when I was three. I remember the feel of the brush, the scent of the oil paint, and the delightful sight of the colors smearing onto canvas. Every part of my being was immersed. . . until I heard my father shout, “What are you doing to my painting?!” I became an avid reader, enchanted by ancient goddess stories that were told for thousands of years before they were written. Divine females gave birth to the future, healed disease, created the arts, and guarded the innocent. Whenever I had blank paper, I drew them into reality. Today, I resurrect their wisdom with paints on canvas. My magical, surreal landscapes derive from my feelings about exploring mother nature and listening to music. My commissions include indoor murals, album covers, and installations. My art may be seen in my historic adobe gallery in Santa Fe by appointment and purchased on my website LindaStormArt.com

Bio

Internationally acclaimed, award-winning artist Linda Storm creates visionary surrealism of nature, music, and myths. In 2025, Linda attended the Mauser Foundation Art Residency in Costa Rica, participated in the Santa Fe Studio Tour, and The President of the Florence Biennale, Italy, personally invited her to exhibit. In 2024 Linda exhibited in The Masur Museum, LA, and was featured globally in Judy Chicago’s, What if Women Ruled the World. Sixty-Five of her paintings exhibited in Step Up Gallery in Los Alamos in her show titled Beyond the Threshold. Linda showed in the City of Santa Fe group exhibit, Harmonize, and attended the Chateau Orquevaux Art Residency in France. In 2023, she was invited to create paintings for Unfinished Business: Women’s Power of Persistence, by the Dona Ana Arts Council, NM, and she created an installation in Italy titled “A New Vision ofthe Same Place.” Linda’s art is collected globally, and licensed for stage projections, murals, public spaces, magazines, and album covers. In early 2020, Linda was commissioned to paint a 60-foot indoor mural of an aspen forest. Soon after, she donated small paintings to hospitalized Covid patients. In 2019 and 2020 she received The Albuquerque Journal North People’s Choice Awards. In 2018, she was invited to exhibit in Italy. She is a member of the esteemed National Association of Women Artists, the Santa Fe Studio Tour, and the National Museum of Women Artists. Read her recent interview on Bold Journey.
