Statement

My work is an exploration of awe and the power of contemplation. Whether the medium is physical (paint) or ethereal (scent), I take inspiration from the invisible world. I desire to create the means for the viewer to pause in stillness to establish access to the infinite. I use an all senses approach to making art. Light, color, and plant-based scents are my materials. I feel deeply connected to the lineage of the New Mexico Transcendentalists.

Bio

Kristine Keheley has been a visual artist in Taos and Santa Fe, since 1989. Her work is held in several corporate collections including Novo Nordisk and Pennsylvania Power and Light. Select exhibitions of her paintings include “Taos: The Next Generation” in 1998, and “The Harwood Collection: Work by Women” in 2018. Kristine is also exploring perfume as an art and aesthetic experience. This work is a natural extension of her experience as an entrepreneur and product developer in the international clean cosmetics industry. Her start-ups include Vapour Beauty and TaosAER.
