Statement

I am an artist who mainly works from my imagination and in a state of flux, as I am not afraid of changing anything at any time. Most of my work is abstracted, whether it is acrylic or oil on canvas or any type of printmaking. My artwork is either figurative ( animals or people) or somewhat non-objective. Black Bird studio is equipped with a lovely antique press, and here in my studio is where I also teach printmaking to small groups of students. I am a firm believer that if you want to learn something, you teach it.

Bio

I came to New Mexico in 2017 from Northern California. I have worked as a professional artist and had a career as a faux/decorative painter for many years, and ran my own business. I have been involved with many art groups and collaborative galleries through the years and have been selected to do some public art projects there in Sacramento and the town of Auburn. I have been a part of Big Names, Small Art at the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, and here in Las Cruces, I have been president of ArtForms, which is the largest group of exhibiting artists who also have studio tour events every February.
