Statement

Over the past year I have shared a portion of my Quarantine Diary entitled "Social Distancing". This was my black and white large format document of members of my village. That project began on Easter Sunday 2020 and is ongoing. In early 2021 I began a watercolor series entitled 'Calling the Rain". This work was inspired by my desire to move out of the black and white world into a less representational space of color. Over the next months I want to share these watercolor images and show my movement in these two mediums.

Born and raised in Los Angeles,California I have traveled to and lived in many places in the U.S. and Europe. I am currently a 14 year resident of Galisteo, New Mexico. It is the beauty of this landscape and the people of my village that has informed the work contained in my Quarantine Diary"
