Upon moving to Taos in 1990, I was introduced to printmaking, a medium that has become central to my artistic practice. My creative process begins from a deep connection to nature, using my camera as a sketchbook to capture both the vast and the intimate. In the studio, I strive to create visual poems that resonate on both a personal and broader level, reaching toward a larger understanding and a shared human experience. I enjoy the juxtaposition of contrasting scales. Likewise, the naming of a precise moment can reference the timeless. In recent years, my attention has turned to the impermanence of time and those fleeting moments we either notice or let slip by. Like a shadow, a cloud, a breeze, or a dream, such transience carries within it a universe of experience, a lifetime of stories, never to be replicated or duplicated. Such explorations offer a deeper contemplation of the delicate balance between presence and transience, between thought and sensation.

My life has unfolded along a multidisciplinary path. I consider myself a mixed media artist whose diverse interests converge in unexpected ways. For more than three decades, Taos has been both my map and my context. It is the place where my various creative explorations intersect, evolve, and flourish.
